Revit Architecture 2008 has made some changes to the Journal folder and what is put there. In prior versions, you would only have .txt files (journal files), but now you will also get additional files that meet the following criteria:
1. Revit project files (.rvt) that reside on the network and do not have worksets enabled.
2. Revit Families (.rfa) that reside on the network.
3. Revit Templates (.rte) that reside on the network.
4. Dump files (.dmp) from when Revit crashes
These files place here are backup files of things you've worked on... My concern is that this will start eating up space on your C: drive without you knowing... Be sure to check & clean often.
